The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club, Leek Wootton — Wednesday 24th June 2026
TeamPolice have once again come out on top at the 5th Annual TeamPolice Golf Day, holding off a determined challenge from our sponsors and partners across 18 holes of the Kings Course at The Warwickshire.
Twenty-four police officers and staff went head-to-head with twenty-four representatives from the organisations that support TeamPolice throughout the year. The result extends the Police lead in a rivalry that has now run for half a decade.
How the day unfolded
The day began early, with registration and bacon rolls served from 09:00 as players arrived at the Royal Suite. The first tee went off at 10:00, with groups sent out at ten-minute intervals through to the final tee time at 12:50.
By late afternoon the last of the golfers were back in the clubhouse, and the day moved into a drinks reception before dinner and presentations in the evening – hosted, as always, by members of the TeamPolice Squad including even lead David Fraser-Darling, drawn from senior officers, police staff and stakeholders from across UK policing.
The results
Individual honours were closely contested throughout, but it was Martin Low of Police Scotland who took the top prize, finishing as overall winner on the day.
| Player | |
|---|---|
| Winner | Martin Low (Police Scotland) |
| Runner-up | Bryn Williams (West Midlands) |
| Third place | Chris Rooney (Motorola Solutions) |
| Closest to the Pin — 4th | Phil Towndrow |
| Closest to the Pin — 17th | James Tandy (West Midlands) |
Both Closest to the Pin competitions were sponsored by Content Guru.
And in the headline contest — the one that carries the bragging rights until next June — TeamPolice took the win, moving the Police v Sponsors series to Police 4 — Sponsors 1.
More than a round of golf
The Golf Day is one of the most established events in the TeamPolice calendar, but it exists for a reason that goes well beyond the scorecard.
TeamPolice was built on a simple idea: wellbeing through sport. Policing is a demanding profession, and the space to step away from the operational environment, compete, and connect with colleagues and partners in a different setting has real value. Days like this create that space and generate crucial funds for PSUK.
What makes the Golf Day distinct is who is in the room! Senior officers and staff from West Midlands, West Yorkshire, Essex, Cheshire, Humberside, Lincolnshire, Devon & Cornwall, the Metropolitan Police, EMSOU and Police Scotland played alongside, and against, the technology, healthcare and service partners who underwrite TeamPolice’s work. The conversations that happen between the 1st and the 18th are ones that would be far harder to have across a boardroom table.
Thank you to our partners
The day simply would not happen without the organisations that back it.
Our headline sponsors, Content Guru and XMA, led the support for the 2026 event, and we are hugely grateful for their continued commitment.
Our thanks also go to every partner who joined us on the course: Computacenter, Salesforce, Motorola Solutions, Orlo, Mountain Healthcare, Sopra Steria, Opses Ltd, Magnet Forensics, Nutrient, ServiceNow, Totalmobile, Lenovo and Getech.
And to those who joined us on the day: YEO, The Emergency Services Show, Palantir Technologies and Blueline Police Healthcare Scheme.
Particular thanks go to PING for their generous donation of prizes across the day.
Looking ahead
The 6th Annual TeamPolice Golf Day heads north of the border, with the 2027 event scheduled for Thursday 24th June 2027 in Cumbernauld, Glasgow. A maximum of 22 teams, a shotgun start, and on this year’s evidence, a sponsor field with a score to settle.
The rest of the 2026 calendar continues apace: the National Cricket Final at Grace Road in September, the National Tennis Finals in Maidstone, the Emergency Services Show at the NEC, an evening at the Salesforce Tower in London in October, and a black-tie boxing evening against the Army in Woking in November.
